Midway through the final semester, PJ students have been busy!
The show submissions are in, and PJ students have had a few sleepless nights thinking about matte boards, calculating proportions for frames, and arguing with photoshop templates. Here’s a look at what PJ students have been up to this week:
A protestor is arrested at the May Day march near Union Square. Many were marching in solidarity with demonstrations in Baltimore calling for police officers to be held accountable for the death of Freddie Gray in custody/Gareth Smit
Staten Island District Attorney Dan Donovan won the 11th congressional district during a special election on May 5th, 2015. As Richmond county DA, Donovan was the prosecutor in the case that saw a grand-jury decide not to indict NYPD officer Dan Pantaleo for the death of Eric Garner/Gareth Smit

This week PJ students had the day long exam for the digital seminar. Students had to walk into a room filled with newspaper articles at 10am and then had four hours to research, gain access, and then meet a deadline with all images processed correctly by 2pm. This practical assignment was followed by a two hour long written test. Some of the images below were made during this assignment.

Supporters and some of the eight striking faculty members at the General Theological Seminary of The Episcopal Church gather for a candlelight vigil outside the campus on Thursday 29th October 2014 at W20th Street, Chelsea, New York.
